Mr. Haas was a member of Richfield Mennonite Church. He was a life member of Dauntless Hook and Ladder Company, Selinsgrove, and Freeburg Fire Company. Additional memberships include: Loyal Order Of Moose, Millerstown.
He is survived by two sisters, Marie A. Schrader, Winfield, RR1, and Joyce I. Hammaker, Richfield RR1; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Haas was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville L. Haas and Elwood Haas.
The funeral service was conducted November 9. 1995 at the Richfield Mennonite Church, with Pastor Jerry R. O'Connell officiating. Burial was in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA.

Hummer, Clarence C., 81, of 860 Stouffer Ave., Chambersburg, died Sunday, July 23, 1995, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Aug. 12, 1913, in St. Thomas, he was the son of the late Solomon D. and Bertha M. (Sites) Hummer.
He and his wife, Mary E. (Kuhns) Hummer, were married Jan. 6, 1934.
Mr. Hummer was a custodian for the National Guard Armory, Chambersburg, retiring in 1982 after many years of service. Previously, he was a custodian at the Public Assistance Office, Chambersburg.
He was a member of Pond Bank Mennonite Church.
At one time, Mr. Hummer was the top blood donor in Franklin County. He gave blood for many years until he no longer was able to due retirement at age 70, he made quilt tops for family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Orlena Kuhn of Chambersburg; a son, Marvin L. Hummer, at home; six brothers, Lewis V. Hummer and Robert C. Hummer, both of Greencastle, Darnel I. Hummer of Rouzerville, Raymond A. Hummer of Waynesboro, Levi A. Hummer of Chambersburg and Harry T. Hummer of Seymour, Tenn.; four sisters, Elsie Reasner and Ida Davis, both of Fayetteville,
and Flo Chamberlain and Lucy Foust, both of Chambersburg; two foster daughters, Dorothy Hamson of Chambersburg and Susan Kauffman of Roxbury; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Hummer; a foster son, John Briggs; two brothers; and one sister.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Chambersburg Mennonite Church, 1800 Philadelphia Ave., with Bishop Mahlon Eshleman and the Revs. Martin D. Lehman and Menno B. Sollenberger officiating. Burial will be in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight in Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home Inc., Chambersburg, and one hour prior to services Wednesday in the church.
